So , how "worldly" did you get?

i even hate to use that word worldly tm.. any way i'm probably the worst.. 1 when the jw s come to my door i say i'm not interested .

2 i have gone to many churches and volunteered.. 3 i shredded all my jw books and magazines out in the woods.. 4 had the mormon elders over and studied with them.. 5 tried pot (its legal here).

6 open carry my fire arm every where (legal here also).

You know what I LOVE? When I find a cool movie I want to see, the first question ISN'T "what's it rated?" !!! I don't even think about it, haha!

has anyone seen the film dont know if its been discussed on here, im just watching it now with my dad he is an elder, he went to do something else less than a 1/4 way through the film, he doesnt usually do that.

then he questioned why i choose to watch it not suspiciously i think he was just curious.

anyway its a film worth watching, its based on true events about the coverup of child abuse within the catholic church.

I loved it that the Boston Globe’s editor realized the key to any chance of exposing the problem, and getting any hope of change, was ‘showing that the orders came from the top.’

Maybe with the Australian Royal Commission’s public cross examination of one of the Watchtower’s “top” ones, Geoffrey Jackson, people can see that these “guardians of doctrine” should be held accountable for policies that the 'lower on the chart' elders must ‘listen, obey and be blessed.’

Un-****ing-Believable

just a few observations from this morning.

.. this morning as i was trying to choke back the bile that kept wanting to come up during the wt study one comment in particular screamed cult.. towards the very end as comments were being made about "counseling" others with "gracious" words one of the uber-dub minstral-serpents made this comment, "we see in the last image that the brother is holding a bible as he counsels the other brother.

we look closely at the picture and we can know exactly what he is counseling the brother about.

Had a wonderful visit with Mr and Mrs Flipper Sat.

i haven't posted much lately because i got a new job at the end of nov. and it's taken much of my time and mental energy.

i still read though and care for you all very much so i thought i should let you know about the meet-up i had yesterday with mr and mrs flipper.. hubby got a call the day before from flipper saying he and his wife were going to visit his mother (who is in a rest home in my town) and would we like to meet up for coffee?

hubby couldn't make it but i was delighted to accept.. we picked a burger place not far from the rest home and where i knew jdubs don't usually hang out on saturdays.

A Good Decade

if you were really into the organization back in the 80's, you have to admit, that it was the peak of the organization.

it was a time of high energy and excitement.

like any nation, it reaches a peak and then it declines.

Dear Liberator.... yep, I remember anxiously awaiting the KM that would come out each year, and prove to us that the annointed numbers were falling....

This was proof to me.... However, I kept waiting for that exponential rise in believers.... It was a no show!

Hey 3rdgen, I am so jealous! I want to meet up w/all too!

I have been catching up on life after the Borg & a new job too! 3 years of taxes, organizing drawers, entering QuickBooks, Quicken.... and now, my fave... covering my two couches! YAY!! (no time to do it while in, haha, spinning the hamster wheel is tooooo much!)

Hubby has been hard at it too...

Pretty soon we just may be able to catch a day & meet up for lunch? Maybe meet half way?
